Full Tour Itinerary
Day One - Christchurch to Kaikoura
An early start from the Christchurch Railway station begins a memorable journey via the rugged wild Pacific Coastline to Kaikoura. After a short transfer to your hotel, the afternoon is at your leisure. Local tour operators offer the chance to watch whales, dolphins, sea-birds, and many other species of marine life daily; by boat, flight, and by land. With wetsuits provided, visitors can even join dolphins and seals in their ocean environment. We can help make any pre-bookings required if requested. Kaikoura boasts a great selection of restaurants, also offering you local seafood.

Day Two - Kaikoura to Blenheim
After breakfast, you will continue your train journey to Blenheim. Blenheim is in the heart of New Zealand's Marlborough district and is a busy town full of interesting shops and cafes. You will be met at the train station and transferred to the Vintners Retreat, which is in the heart of wine country. Our local partner is based just up the road. It's time to head out on the bike for the first afternoon of wine tasting! It's a great time to hit up the 'Golden Mile' of wineries and great food. Some wineries you will pass by are Matua, Allan Scott, Cloudy Bay, Wairau River, and Nautilus Estate (which also has great cheese platters).

Day Three - Vintners Retreat, Blenheim
Prepare yourself for another day of quality wine tasting. Today would be a great day to take in tastings at Forrest, Framingham, Bladen, and Spy Valley. Stunning scenery, art, and wine – a perfect day in the vines!

Day Four - Vintners Retreat to Hotel D’Urville, Blenheim
It's the final day of wine tasting today and is the best riding day too! Suggested tastings are at Villa Maria, Wither Hills, and Lawsons. There's a great chance to ride along the Wither Hills Farm park before cycling into town for your last night on the tour, staying at the Hotel D'Urville – set in the historic 1920's art deco Public Trust Building. The hotel also houses a very popular restaurant and bar, for some final great food and wine!

Day Five - Departure Day
After breakfast, take the chance to explore the town before heading home. We can help arrange transport to the airport or train station depending on your travel arrangements. You'll leave with wonderful memories of Marlborough, and perhaps a few bottles of Marlborough wines.

The Avanti Explorer Low Rise E-bike is perfect for the wine tour. An all weather, comfortable and sporty E-Commuter, designed for enjoying trails or bike paths alike, this bike will be a very enjoyable ride.
