Full Tour Itinerary
Day One - Christchurch to Kaikoura
An early start from the Christchurch Railway station begins a memorable journey via the rugged wild Pacific Coastline to Kaikoura. After a short transfer to your hotel, the afternoon is at your leisure. Local tour operators offer the chance to watch whales, dolphins, sea-birds, and many other species of marine life daily; by boat, flight, and by land. With wetsuits provided, visitors can even join dolphins and seals in their ocean environment. We can help make any pre-bookings required if requested. Kaikoura boasts a great selection of restaurants, also offering you local seafood.

Day Two - Kaikoura to Blenheim
After breakfast, you will continue your train journey to Blenheim. Blenheim is in the heart of New Zealand's Marlborough district and is a busy town full of interesting shops and cafes. You will be met at the train station and transferred to the Hotel D'Urville – set in the historic 1920's Art Deco Public Trust Building in central Blenheim. The hotel also houses a very popular restaurant and bar, for some final great food and wine! Enjoy the afternoon with a stroll around the town.

Day Three - Wine Tasting, Blenheim
Unguided Biking Wine Tour
You will be picked up from your accommodation at 9.30am for a day of tasting by bike. You’ll be set up with a map of the wineries and given some ideas on where to go and what to do for your day. For the full day tour, you should aim to fit in 5 wineries plus a lunch stop. You will be given suggestions on wineries to visit, places to eat and wines to try. You do not need to pre-book the tastings at wineries. The wineries charge a small tasting fee and all take EFTPOS or credit cards. We recommend allowing 45-60 mins per winery if you are pre-planning your day.
E-bike hire is included in the tour cost.
If you wish to upgrade to a Deluxe Guided Wine Tour, you can do so for $320 per person, including E-bike hire. This premium Marlborough wine tour experience is tailored to your individual tastes, with a personalized tour of at least five of Marlborough’s boutique and iconic wineries, along with a delicious a la carte lunch at a beautiful vineyard restaurant (at your own cost).
Difficulty: Low – the terrain is gentle, the pace is leisurely and you will be recommended a route that allows you to stick to bike paths and quiet country roads.
Distance: 6km to 12km. The route will be recommended to fit to your skill level.

Day Four - Departure Day
After breakfast, take you last chance to explore the town before heading home. We can help arrange transport to the airport or train station depending on your travel arrangements. You'll leave with wonderful memories of Marlborough, and perhaps a few bottles of Marlborough wines.
