Day One - Queenstown to Clyde: Lake Dunstan Trail
In the morning, a bus will take you from Queenstown to Cromwell, where you will be met by our local partner with your bikes for your bike fitting. Starting your ride at the historic Cromwell Heritage Precinct, you will then ride the spectacular Lake Dunstan Trail - dubbed "New Zealand’s most spectacular bike ride" all the way to Clyde where you will spend the evening at the luxurious Olivers Lodge and Stables.

Driving: Bus from Queenstown to Cromwell – 55 minutes
Cycling: 39km, Grade 2-3, Easy to Intermediate. Please always ride with care and within your abilities.

Day Two - Clyde to Roxburgh: Roxburgh Gorge Trail
After an incredible breakfast at Olivers, jump back on your bike for your next jaw-dropping adventure: the Roxburgh Gorge. Included in today’s ride is a jetboat ride (for you and your bikes!) on the mighty Clutha Mata-au River. A personal favourite here at PCT, the Roxburgh Gorge is a sensational ride that will always amaze. Today’s ride finishes in Roxburgh, where you will spend the night in a boutique cottage accommodation.

Day Three - Roxburgh to Beaumont: Clutha Gold Trail
After breakfast at your cottage, we start the third trail in our triple treat tour – the Clutha Gold. Today’s ride follows the banks of the Clutha River and after a few kilometres of riding, you can reward yourself with a dip in Pinders Pond (totally optional of course!) Continue riding through to Beaumont – a paradise for the great outdoors - where you will spend the evening at Mata-Au Lodge, the perfect retreat after a day on the trail.

Day Four - Beaumont to Lawrence: Clutha Gold Trail
Your final day of riding awaits! You’ve earned a slightly shorter day on the bike today, and it certainly won’t disappoint. Big Hill Tunnel is a great highlight on today’s trail ride and then it’s the final sweep down to Lawrence – your final destination for the tour and also Otago’s first gold rush town. A great town to spend your last night on the trails and have a well-deserved celebratory beverage. Your bikes will be picked up from your accommodation and returned to our depot in Alexandra in the afternoon, so all you need to worry about is relaxing and having a great time.

Day Five - Departure day to Dunedin or Queenstown
Breakfast is included at your townhouse, but you may wish instead to sample one of the local café’s offerings. Just let us know your preference. The Intercity bus will pick you up just before 11am and take you to Dunedin, arriving at approximately 12.30pm. (included in tour cost.) Alternatively, we can arrange for a bus to Queenstown if this is your preference (approx. 3 hours from Lawrence, departs mid-afternoon).

From modern Rail trail comfort hybrid bikes with lightweight alloy frames, also low bar frame option available with wide range of gears and comfy saddles and grips.
Giant, Norco & GT Hardtail mountain bikes. Front suspension hydraulic brakes in 29 & 27.5 wheel sizes – our bikes are ready for your adventure.
Please note that the accommodation listed is our preferred lodging, however this is subject to change based on availability. Itinerary subject to change based on weather conditions and/or road closures.
